Santana (groin) was activated from the 10-day injured list Wednesday, Julian McWilliams of The Boston Globe reports.

Santana has been sidelined by the groin injury since just after the All-Star break, and he'll rejoin the major-league roster Wednesday with the team in the midst of a COVID-19 outbreak. The 30-year-old won't immediately join the lineup, but there should be plenty of opportunities up for grabs in the immediate future with four position players currently on the COVID IL.
