The Rays recalled Head from Triple-A Durham on Sunday, Adam Berry of MLB.com reports.

Tampa Bay will bring Head back on the 26-man active roster as a replacement for outfielder Kevin Kiermaier (wrist), who was placed on the 10-day injured list. Head is expected to work mostly in lower-leverage situations out of the Tampa Bay bullpen while he's up with the big club.
