Aviles (concussion) could return soon as soon as he's able to take live batting practice, MLB.com reports. "If you see him now, he looks like night and day. He feels it. He's starting to get antsy. He's pushing the trainers. That's all good signs," manager Terry Francona said. Aviles is hitting just .245 on 97 games this year and won't have much of a role waiting for him when he is able to rejoin the lineup. He could be back by the weekend if he continues to progress well.
