Avila was a popular pickup in deep and AL-only leagues after slashing .409/.509/.727 over his first 44 at-bats of the season, but his playing time has fallen by the wayside in May with the Tigers getting Miguel Cabrera back from the disabled list and James McCann offering improved production behind the plate. With McCann drawing another start Sunday, Avila will find himself on the bench for the seventh time in nine games.
