Avila is getting the start at catcher Friday and hitting sixth against the Blue Jays. He was activated from the DL earlier in the day so this was anticipated. While Avila slots back in at first on the depth chart, James McCann did a fine job in his absence and should continue to see 40-50 percent of the action behind the plate.
