Avila (head) will likely take batting practice before Sunday's game, Chris Lott of MLive.com reports. A return date for Avila is still up in the air, but being able to take batting practice is a step in the right direction. On top of this, he managed to get through a workout Saturday. Because of this, Avila won't likely stay in the dugout for much longer.
