Colorado Rockies left-hander Austin Gomber (forearm) had a successful two-inning simulated game last Saturday while throwing around 35 pitches, according to manager Bud Black. Gomber is scheduled to throw another session on Wednesday in Denver and could go on a rehab assignment as early as this Friday.
