Athletics signed RHP Jeremy Accardo to a minor league contract; assigned him to Triple-A Sacramento. He's provide depth and could conceivably earn a call-up next month. Accardo was designated for assignment last week by the Indians after posting a 4.58 ERA and 28/16 K/BB ratio over 35 1/3 innings.
