Athletics manager Bob Melvin said Coco Crisp (eye) was "maybe slightly better" Wednesday. Crisp has conjunctivitis (otherwise known as pink eye) in both eyes, with Melvin calling the case "severe." He's considered day-to-day. "It's difficult to play this game without your eyes 100 percent," Melvin said. "On top of that, you never want to put anyone in a position where you could get someone injured. It literally is day to day, it just depends on how he responds."
