Athletics designated RHP Josh Stinson for assignment. Stinson was just claimed off waivers from the Brewers last week, but the A's cleared him from the 40-man roster Wednesday in order to make room for the newly-claimed Will Harris. The 25-year-old could draw interest on waivers.
