Athletics designated LHP Jerry Blevins for assignment. The move clears a spot for Tuesday's starter Guillermo Moscoso on the active roster. This is the second time Blevins has been designated for assignment in the past two months. The 27-year-old southpaw has a 3.86 ERA and 15/14 K/BB ratio over 16 1/3 innings with the A's this season.
