Athletics and OF Josh Reddick avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $2.7 million contract. Reddick requested $3.25 million and the A's had offered $2 million, so the deal is just above the midpoint between the two numbers. The soon-to-be 27-year-old will have two more years of arbitration before he hits free agency. He's locked in as a starter in Oakland's outfield for the upcoming season.
