Athletics acquired RHP Luke Gregerson from the Padres for OF Seth Smith. It's been an active couple days for A's general manager Billy Beane. Gregerson has a cool 2.88 career ERA in 363 major league relief appearances and should do well as a setup man for new Oakland closer Jim Johnson.
