Astros manager Bo Porter said Jonathan Singleton will have a chance to win a spot with the team in spring training. Singleton had a monster showing in the Puerto Rican Winter League, leading the league in home runs, total bases and OPS. The 22-year-old also missed 50 games this past season due to violating the league's substance abuse policy. He may not be the team's starting first baseman right out of the gate, but it sounds like he'll be given a legitimate shot to make the team.
