Astros claimed OF Justin Maxwell off waivers from the Yankees. It's a good spot for Maxwell, as he'll report directly to the major league club and could find a good amount of playing time in the outfield. Maxwell's plate discipline has always held him back, but he has some pop and speed and might prove to be rosterable in NL-only leagues.
