EDGE Analysis
Although he allowed his first three runs of spring, including a two-run home run to Chris Johnson, Archer was pleased with several aspects of his performance. He threw only six sliders as he continued focusing on honing his fastball command and went the deepest into a game he's gone so far this spring. He finished on a positive note as well, striking out the last two batters he faced. "It was different pitching into the sixth inning because I haven't done that yet, but my body felt good," he said. "I was able to repeat my mechanics. That last inning was probably my best inning."
