Aoki stroked a bases-loaded single to plate two runs Monday in a win at the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Aoki has swung the bat much better lately than he did earlier in the season. In his last 18 games he has 22 hits in 59 at-bats (.373) with a .422 OBP, seven doubles and a home run. That stretch was interrupted by 10 days at Triple-A because of a roster-construction issue, but he picked up where he left off after his return Sept. 6. The Mariners have a crowded outfield with four left-handers and switch hitter, but Aoki should continue to get at-bats against right-handers.
