Angels signed INF Jorge Cantu to a minor league contract. He'll also get a spring training invite. Cantu, who turns 30 later this month, batted just .194/.232/.285 with three homers and 16 RBI over 166 plate appearances with the Padres last season. The Angels have a bit of a logjam with their position players, so he's likely a longshot to make the Opening Day roster.
