Angels placed OF Josh Hamilton on the 15-day disabled list with a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his left thumb. Hamilton will have surgery in the coming days to repair the complete tear of the ligament. The injury will likely keep Hamilton out until June. Outfielder J.B. Shuck was recalled in a corresponding move.
