Angels placed INF Ian Stewart on the 15-day disabled list with a left hand contusion. Stewart suffered the severe contusion Sunday when he was hit on the hand by a pitch. X-rays were taken and came back negative, so the hope is he'll be fully recovered after 15 days of rest. Luis Jimenez has been promoted from Triple-A Salt Lake to provide third base depth.
