Angels placed 2B Howie Kendrick on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to August 5, with a sprained left knee. An MRI confirmed that Kendrick isn't dealing with any structural damage, but he's yet to resume baseball activities after his collision with teammate Collin Cowgill on Monday. The Angels are hoping he can return on August 21 when first eligible.
