Angels manager Mike Scioscia said following Wednesday's game that the struggling Joel Pineiro may be replaced in the starting rotation. Pineiro gave up seven runs over 4 1/3 innings against the Twins on Wednesday night and has an ugly 14.85 ERA over his last four starts. "We'll put everything on the table [Thursday] and see where we are," said Scioscia. "Definitely, we need J.P. pitching like he can - that's important to us. Our organizational pitching depth is not where it has been. There are limited options, but we'll look at everything and see what the best way is for us to move forward." If the Angels decide to give Pineiro the boot, internal options include Hisanori Takahashi on the big league roster and Trevor Bell and top pitching prospect Garrett Richards in the minor leagues.
