Andy McCullough of the Newark Star-Ledger reports that the Yankees are one of several teams monitoring Johan Santana's progress. It's no secret that the Yankees' top target is Masahiro Tanaka (and McCullough says they might have already met with Tanaka and his representative, Casey Close), but they're keeping tabs on other options, as well. Santana, who is coming back from a second major shoulder surgery, is also drawing interest from his former team, the Twins.
