Andy Dirks (Achilles) is out of the Tigers' lineup for the third straight day Friday. Dirks has a right Achilles injury which apparently isn't getting any better, but the Tigers aren't considering a DL-stint at the moment. Delmon Young is starting in left field Friday while Gerald Laird serves as the DH.
