Andriese, who's made his last two appearances in relief, could see a spot start in Saturday's doubleheader in Baltimore, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old was reassigned to the bullpen shortly after his June 10 start to make room for 23-year-old phenom Blake Snell in the rotation, but could find himself in a familiar role come Saturday. Andriese has been effective in his pair of relief appearances, firing 3.2 scoreless innings of one-hit ball while striking out three. He was effective over seven starts as well, generating a solid 2.82 ERA and 5-0 record. The right-hander had three relief stints against the Orioles last season, giving up five hits and four earned runs over three innings, with much of that damage coming in an Aug. 31 appearance.
