Andriese was optioned to Triple-A Durham on Wednesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Andriese put together a strong spring, but couldn't quite crack the team's bullpen right out of camp. He'll certainly be in the mix as one of the team's first call-ups this season. He made 25 appearances last season for the Rays including eight starts, carrying a 4.11 ERA and a 1.33 WHIP in 65.2 innings.
