EDGE Analysis
Andriese one run came on an Andrew Benintendi sacrifice fly in the third, as he'd thrown two scoreless innings to open the game. The outing was a significant improvement over last Friday's appearance against the Pirates, when the Rays' projected No. 5 starter threw 44 pitches. "Felt much better," Andriese said. "A lot more comfortable getting through the innings and getting up four times is really good. ... Just command and fastball better and trying to get sharp with all my other pitches, too. It was just good to get out there and get three-plus innings after only going one-plus in my last two times out."
