EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old right-hander was back in the starting rotation for an afternoon, and generated mixed results. Andriese was in for only 78 pitches, but recorded five whiffs and induced 18 swinging strikes. He gave up RBI singles to J.J. Hardy and Adam Jones in the second after surrendering an inning-opening double to Jonathan Schoop, but was otherwise effective. He's expected to head back to the bullpen, where he'd been transitioned following Blake Snell's call-up.
