Andriese (5-0) surrendered eight hits, three earned runs and four walks over 5.1 innings in Friday's 4-3 victory over the Astros. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
The young right-hander continued his impressive stretch since an early May call-up from Triple-A, throwing 64 of 101 pitches for strikes and securing first-pitch strikes on 19 of 26 hitters. The 26-year-old has only pitched 10.1 innings combined over his last two starts, but has done just enough to still notch a victory. Control was the only real step backward for Andriese on Friday, as the four free passes he issued were a season high, and marked the fourth time in seven starts that he'd walked multiple batters. He'll look to keep his perfect record intact versus the Mariners next Thursday.
