Andrew Heaney pitched well but took the loss in his major league debut, allowing one run over six innings in Thursday's loss to the Mets. Heaney had the misfortune of opposing Zack Wheeler on this night, as Wheeler was on top of his game and polished off a complete game shutout. Heaney, one of baseball's top prospects, dominated the competition between Double-A and Triple-A prior to his call-up. The right-hander allowed only four hits and a walk while striking out three. The only mistake came on a first inning solo home run to David Wright. He'll take on the Phillies on the road in his next start.
