Andrew Bailey (forearm) may be able to return without a rehab assignment. Bailey is slated to throw a bullpen session early next week and is close to being activated from the DL. While it's unlikely that he'll be available Tuesday when first eligible, it's possible that Bailey will avoid a rehab assignment. "Still to be determined," manager John Farrell said. "At a minimum we'll get him some sim-games with us. Those things we'll get a better read on once he gets through some mound progression."
