Anderson has been diagnosed with a bulging disk in his back and will be out 3-to-5 months, MLB.com's Ken Gurnick reports.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson will undergo back surgery Tuesday, and will then begin a rehab process that will keep him sidelined until sometime this summer. Anderson's injury greatly improves Alex Wood's chances of opening the season in the Dodgers' rotation, and also gives both Michael Bolsinger and Brandon Beachy more of an opportunity to lock down the fifth starter job.
