Anderson (back) will throw a three-inning simulated game at extended spring training Monday, Gordon Wittenmyer of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Anderson has been out since early May, but it seems like he's making steady progress in his rehab program. If all goes well Monday night, the nest step would seemingly be to ramp up his inning count prior to embarking on a full-fledged rehab assignment.
