Anderson (back) was placed on the 15-day DL on Wednesday, Nick Groke of the Denver Post reports. Manager Walt Weiss suggested a DL stint was likely after Anderson left Tuesday's start due to back spasms, and sure enough, the left-hander will require at least a couple weeks to heal up. Anderson was cruising before leaving Tuesday, holding the Cubs to one hit through three innings, but injuries have been a recurring theme throughout the 26-year-old's career and his injury history should temper any future expectations.
