Anderson (back) had his $12 million team option declined by the Rockies on Saturday, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports. Anderson had surgery to repair a herniated disc in August that ended his season early after he started the season on the 60-day DL with a broken finger. The team decided to pay the $1.5 million buyout instead of exercising his option, and Anderson will become a free agent.
