Anderson allowed four runs on eight hits, walking two and striking out four over just 4.1 innings of a 4-2 loss to the Mets on Friday night. Anderson (4-3, 3.91 ERA) has been one of the more reliable starters for Arizona this season, but he has developed a bad habit of allowing home runs early on in games. He gave up a three-run shot off the bat of Lucas Duda and a solo homer by Michael Cuddyer in the first inning, and that marks three consecutive starts he has given up a home run in the opening frame.
