An MRI revealed that Anderson was dealing with a bulging disc in his back, likely ending his season, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports. Anderson will see a back specialist on Monday before his next move his determined, but it seems likely at this point that the Rockies will shut him down for the season. His performed spectacularly when healthy with a 2.91 ERA and 1.31 WHIP over eight starts, but as has been the case for much of his career, injuries once again will cost him significant time.
