Alonso went 3-for-5 with an RBI in Tuesday's win over the Dodgers. The Padres revamped much of their lineup over the offseason, but one of the few constants will be Alonso, who had his 2014 campaign cut short by surgery on his forearm in August. The 28-year-old has gotten off to a solid start through two games and figures to serve as the everyday first baseman.
