Allen Craig went 0-for-3 with a walk and two strikeouts in the Cardinals' loss to the Rays on Tuesday. Craig was an odd choice to start against Rays right-hander Jake Odorizzi with left-handed-hitting outfielder Oscar Taveras sitting on the Cardinals' bench. Taveras entered the game with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning and capped off an eight-pitch at-bat with a single into right-center field. Craig is hitting just .242/.292/.354 this season.
