Alfredo Simon held the Cubs to one run in seven innings in a no-decision Monday. Jeff Samardzija matched Simon for six innings, so there was no victory to be had. Simon had won four in a row and six of seven entering this one. He'll take a 2.92 ERA into this weekend's start against the Giants.
