Alfredo Simon (groin) threw a bullpen session Sunday without incident. Simon hasn't pitched in a game since March 18 due to a strained groin, but he's finally making progress. O's manager Buck Showalter hasn't ruled him out for a rotation spot, but there's a chance he could begin the season in the bullpen.
