Alex Liddi's double was one of just two Mariners hits in Wednesday's season-ending loss to the A's. Tonight's effort was nothing if not fitting for the Mariners, who will finish the year with a major-league low 556 runs. That's just 43 more than they scored in a 2010 many considered the worst offensive season of the DH era. As for Liddi, he'll finish his first major league cup of coffee with a .225/.295/.525 triple slash posted in 44 plate appearances. He should begin 2012 in Triple-A.
