Alex Gonzalez was removed from Saturday's game in the second inning after injuring his right ankle sliding into second base. No word yet on the extent or severity of the injury, but it didn't look promising. The Brewers already had to deal with the loss of Mat Gamel due to an ACL injury this week, if Gonzalez is out for any serious length of time it would be another crushing blow. Cesar Izturis came in to pinch run for Gonzalez, and would likely see the majority of the time at shortstop in Gonzalez' absence. We'll keep you updated as soon as more is known on this situation.
