Alex Avila has been cleared to return to action after passing concussion tests. Avila exited Thursday's game after taking a foul ball off the mask, but he's feeling fine now and could be back in the lineup Friday. He's batted .247/.326/.447 with four homers and 23 RBI over 24 games since returning from the disabled list last month.
