The Arizona Diamondbacks optioned outfielder Alek Thomas to Triple-A Reno after Tuesday night's game and recalled right-hander Luis Frias from Reno in a corresponding move. Thomas will go down to the minors to work on things after beginning his second major-league season in poor form at the plate.
