Ahmed (hand) went 1-for-2 with a home run and three RBI in a rehab game for Triple-A Reno on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
After delivering a two-run blast in the third inning, Ahmed was hit by a pitch in the fourth inning and was replaced by a pinch runner. There haven't been any reports that Ahmed aggravating the fractured right hand he's spent the last two months recovering from, so it's possible that he was just pulled early from the contest for precautionary purposes. Ahmed had played eight innings at shortstop a night earlier, so his entry into the lineup on back-to-back days suggests he could be activated from the 60-day disabled list as soon as Tuesday's series opener against the Dodgers.
