Manager Chip Hale did not expect Ahmed to return until sometime during the weekend, however, barring any late scratch, the 25-year-old will remain out of the starting lineup Saturday. He hasn't been able to play since suffering a back injury while making a dazzling defensive stop Tuesday. In the meantime Chris Owings will get another start at shortstop and hit eighth in the lineup.
