After going without a hit in five at-bats during Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader with the Dodgers, Gonzalez went 3-for-5 in the nightcap. Gonzalez delivered a clutch one-out double in the ninth inning to put the tying run on base for the Rockies, but he was ultimately left stranded on third when teammate Ben Paulsen struck out to end the game. The three-hit day helped Gonzalez raise his average nine points to .226, but he still has a long way to go to make up for his struggles over the first quarter of the season.
