Addison Reed was pulled from a save opportunity Saturday against the Twins after loading the bases.

Reed failed to retire a batter after entering the bottom of the ninth with a 5-2 lead, issuing two walks and giving up a single. He was replaced by Matt Thornton, who worked out of the jam by inducing a double-play and a ground out for his third save of the season. Reed's job likely isn't in immediate jeopardy, but the White Sox can't afford to mess around this late in the season.
