Lamb was sidelined at the end of camp because of tightness in his glute, but he's in good enough shape now to be included on the Opening Day roster. The 32-year-old will be an option at either of the corner-infield positions, with first base likely representing the easier of the two paths to playing time in the short term while Jared Walsh (headaches and insomnia) opens the season on the 10-day injured list.
